Collaborative Projects

We are built on a foundation of collaboration. Without meaningful and authentic collaboration an Alliance ceases to be an Alliance. In addition to being governed by a collaborative leadership team, the Alliance is involved in a number of exciting collaborative initiatives across Canada! Check them out!

Get Outside BC Youth Leadership Project - a youth project in support of our Natural Leaders Alliance - for youth ages 14-18. In collaboration with Mountain Equipment Co-op, CPAWS-BC, Parks Canada and BC Parks. The first phase of the project was a youth summit at North Vancouver Outdoor School in July 2011. The second phase is in August when, on International Youth Day (August 12), the natural leaders will be hosting their own events in parks across the province. Phase III will be a reunion event that will enable the natural leaders to share stories and plan for future outdoor activities together.
